Attendant Console Call Forward All Issue

Hi,

With Attendant Console the Directory window has five columns. The first shows the state of the phone, the second column the Last Name, the third column the First Name, the fourth column Telephone and the fifth column department.

The icon in the first column updates to show the line state of user phones. However, the icon in the third column does not dynamically update if users set there phones to call forward all. If I click the reload button and select the department the call forward all stated are shown ok.

My question is should the call forward state update dynamically or only when the reload procedure is followed?

Re: Attendant Console Call Forward All Issue

Hi James,

The Directory Window is not quite "real-time" so this is why the reload works. If you waited for the Directory-sync period to kick in, you recieve the same result. Have a look;

The attendant console server reads and caches directory entries at startup. After an initial handshake determines whether the directory entries changed since the previous log in, the attendant console downloads the directory user list. The attendant console also downloads the user list when the interval in the Directory Reload Interval field in the Attendant Settings dialog box expires or when the user clicks the **Reload button in the Directory window.

AutoGenerated.txt file that is generated by the Cisco TCD service and stored in the userlist directory on the Cisco CallManager Attendant Console server. If the Directory Sync Period service parameter does not equal zero, Cisco TCD generates the AutoGenerated.txt file when the Cisco TCD service starts and when the directory sync period expires.

To modify the Directory Sync Period service parameter, choose Service > Service Parameters. Choose the appropriate server from the Server drop-down list box and choose the Cisco Telephony Call Dispatcher Service from the Service drop-down list box.

Hope this helps!

Re: Attendant Console Call Forward All Issue

Thanks for the replies. I am running version 1.5(1 ES2) of Attendant Console.

Rob, I have tried changing the Directory Reload Interval as suggested but the CFA status is not dynamically updated in the directory window. I am not sure whether it should be though!

I have looked at the acclient.txt file in the logs directory and it shows the directory being updated at the period specified in the advanced settings.
