Auto attendant on BRI

Have too incoming lines one standard line into an fx card.

When the route recieves a call on this my AA picks up and ask which extension is required. This is fine

The other line is a BRI connection. When the number for this is dialed the AA doesn't answer and the call is disconnected?

Re: Auto attendant on BRI

hi Martin,

first, your DP 8 needs "incoming called-number", not "destination-pattern". You can also remove the "port", as it not used anymore for incming DPs.

Then, the number called needs to match AA param aa-pilot. This means either you configure another AA different from the POTS, or setup things so that the pilot is the same, what are you using for aa-pilot now ?

Re: Auto attendant on BRI

I'm using DP 8 and 9 to get outside line from VoIP phones. So the user dials 8 to access the ISDN line and 9 to use the standard phone line

If I remove destination pattern from DP8 wont that stop me being able to press 8 for an outside line?

Re: Auto attendant on BRI

Yes, because you have configured a combined inbound and outbound DP. When configuring more than very basic is sometime necessary to keep them separate also for clarity in the configuration. When you add a DP with "incoming called-number", (your "ISDN number" in the debug posted), or a pattern that covers it, that will start triggering aa.

But I was referring to the param for the script, because it need to match, what are you using now as "param aa-pilot" ?

Re: Auto attendant on BRI

I have attached my router configs if that helps?

Re: Auto attendant on BRI

Hi, i'm not familiar with the script you are using, I thought you was using AA-BACD. If the latter, the configuration would be incomplete.

Anyway, AA should work as soon you make a DP with "incoming called-number".
