Hi Sarah,

By default, auto-registration is turned on in CME.  This means phones will automatically register when they contact CME,  which may not be something you want to happen if you've already set up  certain settings.

To turn off auto-registration:

Conf t

Telephony-service

No auto-reg-ephone

When auto-registration is turned off, you have to have the phone manually entered in the config with its' MAC address.

To see phones attempting to register when auto-registration is turned off:

Show ephone attempted-registrations

This  will show the phones trying to register and their MAC addresses,  allowing you to copy/paste the MAC address, making it easier to add them  to the config.

Here is a link for the command reference guide:

Regards,

Harmit.
