BAT - updating phone

I trying to update all my phons with new external mass; line text display.   its different for everyphone.

1. i did a phone export with the list of phone I wanted to change.

2. made my chaned to the excel file

uploaded to ccm using bat; phone; update phones

then I run the update phone nothing happen.

what am I missing?

where can I got to see why is failing?

under Buld Administration --> Job Scheular --> press find, get the update job you have done, open it and see if there is any error message.

When you do the update there is an option to overwrite existing settings it is very important to check those boxes otherwise nothing will happen.

Make template for specific phone.

Update .txt or .csv file with approriate data

Add/Update line

I used that option for one phone.  it worked but it will overright eveything on the line.  I do not want to overright some of the setting on the line, only the line text; external number mass.

Hi Derrik.

Have you tryed update lines option under Bulk Administration Tool?

BulkAdministration --> Phones --> Add/Update Lines--->> Update Lines

Here you can search for directory numbers you want to modify.

Than check only the radio button next to the option you want to change.
