Hello,
we want to upgrade our old Avaya telephony system for Cisco Business Edition 6000. We have 2x E1 voice trunks in our office. Does the model C2901-VSEC/K9 (Cisco 2901 UC Sec. Bundle, PVDM3-16, UC and SEC License P) with PVDM upgrade 16 to 64 will cope with the load?
We planning to use on internal segment 2x VG350-144FXS/K9 (144 FXS ports for each) as MGCP gateway and 25 IP-phones with g.711 codec, and no VoIP-to-VoIP on external segment - just 2x E1 trunks. Do we need another PVDM upgrade or may be more productivity platform for the uplink gateway (2901 ISR G2)?

You'll definitely need more DSPs for two full-rate E1s. Use the DSP Calculator determine how much. Note that the DSPs are also required for conference calling (e.g. three-way calls).
