Bluetooth/Wireless capability needed for IP 7965

I can not wear a headset on my head. I need a wireless or bluetooth headset that can sit on my neck with earbuds to my ears ( much like workout headphones that connect to your cell phone). I have a Cisco IP 7965 and I am in search of an adapter that allows bluetooth connection from a headset like this. I have an LG hbs 760, but I am willing to purchase another version should it function the same. If an adapter is not possible, is there a headset out there? I have seen adapters for hearing aids but never an adapter that will connect with a blutooth device that does not have a base ( ie: it is charged vie a micro USB cord).

Should any one have ANY advice on how to remedy this problem or new suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate.

Hi Amy,

Have you looked at a wireless headset like the Plantronics CS540 with the neckband adaptor?

Really lightweight and can be worn around the base of the neck with the earbud and mic resting in your ear. I've sourced these for many customers with the same headset concerns you have and they have all been very happy. You can even use the proper APC cable and answer calls right from the headset within a few hundred feet of your phone (using electronic hookswitch control).

That still rests on the head. I cannot have anything that will cause any pressure on my head. It needs to have zero weight on my head at all. I have tried one and it will not work for me.

Hi Amy,

Well, that idea doesn't work then....my bad!

I can't think of any other solutions while using the 79xx series IP phones like the 7965. If you could upgrade to the 88xx series you could probably use the Intelligent proximity feature and pair your smartphone to the IP phone and continue to use you LG headset to take/make calls.

I can look into upgrading my phone but I need to know it'll connect prior to doing so, is there any way to verify? Thank you for the suggestions I honestly haven't had much luck on my own. Even calling into Cisco was not helpful.
