Bulk Voice Messaging Distribution

All:

I am in a process of setting up the bulk voice messaging distribution for my client and have current limitation of 96 ports to access VM and have more than 400 phones installed.

When I initiate the mass voice messaging to all the phones and if when all the users try to access the VM, partially get busy signal or wait for longer time before they can get to VM.

Is there any way to send the messages in a particular interval (batch)

How do we avoid adding additional Unity server for VM to achieve this.

Thank You in advance.

Ramesh

i would think that 96 ports are more than enough for 400 users, i've seen systems with 1000+ users and only 96 ports and only few complaints on users not being able to access VM

did you performed a capacity planning for this??

because it's expected that if all users try to get their VM at same time they will get busy 3/4 of them

the recommendation is to leave 20-25% of VM ports for MWI only but if the port usage is reaching almost 100% then you can enable the incoming calls on all ports

what version and server you have??? some versions allow up to 144 ports now
