We have recently connected 6 Cisco IP 7936 Conference Stations (replacing 7940G IP Phones) across the network. Among these, 3 Conference Stations have a problem reported - during a call and when pressed the mute button; the called party hears a disturbance (buzz noise) continously untill the mute button is released. Further to investigate, we swapped the Extn of faulty Conf Station with the good Conf Station which is working with no issues reported such as buzz noise. But this good conference Station also reported with the same problem of Buzz Noise on Mute. We changed the switch port, Power Connector of 7936, UTP Cat 5 cables. But no progress, any Conference Staion connected here to these 3 position or switch ports we have this problem reported. Infact the phones used in these Extn's used elsewhere do not report this problem at all. I suspect it could be a Power Source problem, can you help me in identifying this...please!
