Call Drop between CUCM and Remote CUCME

Hi

I have CUCM 9 at HO and CUCME at branch office. The bandwidth between the two sites are 2 MB.

I configure Voip Dialpeer on CUCME pointing towards CUCM and H323 Gateway on CUCM. Now the issue is when Remote IP Phone call HO its ring but when end user pick the calls, call immediately drops. Same if we call from HO to Remote.

Am using G729.

Need urgent assistance

You need to ensure that the codec specified on the voip dial peer towards cucm is set to use g729 and also the region setting between the IP phone and h323 gateway is g729. If there is a call leg that is not talking g729 then a transcoder would be needed.

Why we need transcoder.
