Call forwarding in MGCP gateway

Hi All,

I have a problem that I don't know how to attack.  We have a call manager at our HQ and a number of MGCP gateways around the country.  Most are 2821 ISRs and they all have between 2 and 5 pots lines connected to the pstn.  Here's the problem.  One person in each office now needs to forward incoming calls to their cell phone after hours.  When a call comes in one line and out the other to their cell the call quality is such that it is inaudible.  I understand that this is probably a hairpin, in one FXO and out another but why would the quality go down the tubes?

Any help would be appreciated!!

Do you mean, the audio quality is good if the call is incomming or outgoing but there is no transfer/forward from one POTS to other POTS ?

Did you try tweaking the gain & attenuation values on both FXO ports to see if it helps ?

Pls rate helpful posts.
