While designing a UC solution based on Call Manager 5.1, how do we account for the device licenses which is based on the part number LIC-CM-DL-xx=. We just have to take into account the number of IP phones or we also have to take into account H.323 gateways, conferencing and MoH session which also consume device units?
For example, if the solution consists of 100 7911G phones ( 3 units) and 50 7960G phones ( each 4 units), should i configure the system with one qty of LIC-CM-DL-500= or do i need to take into account the device units consumed by other resources also?
The DLU's need to be ordered only for IP Phones. In your case 500 DLU's would cover exactly. You may want to order some extras for future growth. This way you could add new phones without having to mess with Licensing.
