Call Manager 6.1 integration with fire alarm paging system

I have been tasked to integrate overhead paging into the new fire alarm system which has a paging ability built in. Is this possible to do? We currently have an old overhead paging system installed which is tied into the IP phone system via vg248 gateway but they want to get rid of the old system and use the alarm paging capability as a replacement for the old overhead paging system. Is this as simple as just moving the hard connection from the old system to the alarm paging system?

does the new system also connects using the same cabling?

same interface?

i'd say to compare the specs from the connection from both systems and if they're the same then yes, it might be as simple as changing the cable

I know that there is a hand mic attached to the alarm paging system so I assume that it would be the same connection the mic is connected to. I will troubleshoot with the fire alarm guy when he arrives. I will post the results to this thread. Thanks
