Hello,

A free workaround that you can use, is to program the Call Manager to send a message when the phone is IDLE

So when the phone is not used for an amount of time this message will kick-in (like a screen-saver)

Instructions:

How to change message to CallManager URL-IDLE

On Cisco Call Manager Adminstration :     https://CallManager-IP/ccmadmin

  • System
  • Enterprise Parameters Configuration
  • Phone URL Parameters
  • URL_IDLE                http://file-server-IP/cisco.xml
  • URL_Idle_Time        14400 seconds (4 hours)

                                          0 (default = Off)

The file cisco.xml should look like this

<CiscoIPPhoneText>

<Title>* Important message from ... *Title>

<Prompt />

<Text> Please note that ... Text>

CiscoIPPhoneText>
