I am in the process of upgrading my UC environment and instead of labbing a unity 7 (windows) I did a an export from unity to unity connection. I am now trying to integrate CUCM 7 with unity connection 9. I am having issues with the Voicemail ports. The device name prefix needs to have a VI at the end of the name for unity connection 9 and nothing else but CUCM needs a VIn where "n" represents a number. In order for them to work they need to match.
Someone let me know. Thanks for your help.

Hi Earl,
Just the "prefix" part needs to match so for example
in CUCM the ports might be;
CiscoUM1-VIx (but connection doesn't care about x where x=port#)
so in Connection you just need to set the prefix;
Device Name Prefix = CiscoUM1-VI
Cheers!

Hello Earl,
Here are some screenshots on both perspectives:
1. When you perform the voicemail configuration on the CUCM you would go to Advanced Features>Voice Mail> Cisco Voicemail Port Wizard, you will get the two following screens:
First one will let you decide if whether you want to add to an existing one or create a new one:
Afterwards you will have to put in the prefix, in this example we used CCIE-1-VI:
Now on the CUC perspective:
