I am starting an upgrade from Call Manager 4.2.3 to Call Manager 7x. Our Call Managers currently run on MCS 7835-H2, however the hardware we purchase was MCS 7845-H2. Is there going to be an issue during my upgrade with running different hardware platforms (software license)? I also have UCCX system running MCS 7835-H1 going to a MCS 7845-H2 will I run into a license problem here as well.

Hey Danny,
The license doesn't check for the server type, just the server count.

Hey Danny,
Just to add a note to the great info from Rick (+5 Rick!)
All the new Licenses will be tied to the MAC of the new 7845H2
Publisher/First Node and will be created accordingly The
old 4.2(3) box will only be used to create the DMA file.
You should be good to go!
