Call Manager Config Question

I'm fairly new to IP Telephony and Cisco Call Manager. My question has to do with calling Long Distance and Local. How does Call Manager know whether a call is a long distance call or not? Are the local prefixes programmed into Call Manager? If so, where? Thanks!

CUCM already has the NANP configured (you can load other depending on your needs), if you use the @ in a route pattern it will match against it and will recognize such calls.

Hi..

You must have access to the PSTN via a gateway (H323 or MGCP, mainly). For this, you must configure Dial peers in Gateways or AS.

Route Patter must set the Call Manager, so users can make long distance calls.
