I'm configuring up a Call Manager Express and put a PDVM 2-32 in a Cisco 2801 router. It is a simple call manager with only 20 IP phones.
When I put the router to work, he appeared a few messages:
*Jan 13 21:22:53.619: %SYS-2-MALLOCFAIL: Memory allocation of 98300 bytes failed from 0x6180197C, alignment 0
Pool: Processor Free: 81188 Cause: Not enough free memory
Alternate Pool: None Free: 0 Cause: No Alternate pool
-Process= "Exec", ipl= 0, pid= 96, -Traceback= 0x612EC7EC 0x6027E220 0x60284180 0x602847D8 0x6330AB58 0x61801984 0x612FC2B4 0x61358848 0x61338C4C 0x6135CA10 0x625DEED0 0x625DEEB4
When I try to give the command "sh run" it shows a message:
Low memory, try again later!
After giving a reload on the router and take the equipment, could enter the "sh run"and he showed me this message:
voice-card 0
! Warning! DSPs 1,2 in slot 0 are using non-default firmware from device flash:
! This is not recommended, the IOS default version is 9.4.12
I did a search and see something related to incompatibility with IOS x PVDM,
I'm using the IOS is: c2801-mz.124-advipservicesk9-15.T12.bin
Anyone have any ideas?

I need put more memory in router?

Yes, as indicated above, and as the router is telling you clearly.
To update IOS, recommended 384MB RAM, 128MB flash on the 2801.

And how much memory do you suggest? I have it here today:
Cisco 2801 (revision 7.0) with 119808K/11264K bytes of memory.
Processor board ID FTX1202Y0U9
2 FastEthernet interfaces
1 Serial(sync/async) interface
2 Channelized E1/PRI ports
1 Virtual Private Network (VPN) Module
DRAM configuration is 64 bits wide with parity disabled.
191K bytes of NVRAM.
62720K bytes of ATA CompactFlash (Read/Write)

One question:

You supposed to be conflict with the PVDM, or low of memory?
I'll buy more memory, This is only my problem?
Tks a lot

In the future if you are wondering how much memory is required for each IOS, go to the download page. Here is the download page for the IOS you are using.
