We have a CME with no voicemail feature on it.

What hardware do we need to add to the cisco router 2821 to provide this feature?

is the configuration required for this option complicated?

Hi

It really depends on your requirements. Most CME deployments use Cisco Unity Express (CUE):

Configuration of CUE isn't complicated, provided you take the time to read the manual.

It you need Unified Messaging, then you would want to consider full Unity, though bear in mind this is a much more complex and expensive product.
