Call monitoring workaround

We are trying to use a workaround for call monitoring in CCM 4.2 by using shared lines with a silent ringtone. We set the receptionists desk sidecar to have one instance of a shared line so she can see the status but have the lines not ring so she does not have to hear 17 lines ringing all day.

When setting the secondary DN's ringtone, the options are only ring1 through ring7. We overwrote ring7 with our silent ringtone we created in the tftp directory, but it does not seem to be the correct file.

Any thoughts?

you can go into each line on the receptioists phone and disable ringing in all states of the phone i.e. busy, idle
