Call Pickup on VG224

Hello Folks

I have a query regarding VGs configured using SCCP and calling features.

We have local group pick up configured (ie: pickup local **1) - when the phones ring and the user goes off-hook and enters the pick up code the call isn't picked up right away. Instead, when the user replaces the handset the phone rings and the call is picked up when the user goes off-hook.

Is this normal behaviour for pick-up on a VG?

Also, does anyone know of a document detailing end user guides or operations manual for these calling features - I have looked high and low!

Hi Graham,

Can you please let us know what IOS the VG's are running as there was a bug

that caused this type of behavior back in the 12.4 train.

This doc does describe the use of these features pretty well

Hi,

This sounds like the following paremater has not been set in the CUCM Call manager service

AutoCallPickupEnabled

must be set to True.
