Call pre-emption over SIP trunks using call manager 8
We are trying to set up call pre emption using call manager 8 runniing in non secure mode. We can pre-empt locally and across the SIP trunk to a separate clusterbut we are having problems configuring the trunk to actually do the pre emption. We have dropped the trunk bandwidth to 47kbps in the location which is enough to allow one call but not quite enough to allow 2 calls. If we do a routine call it is successful as there is enough bandwidth. If we then try to set up a Flash call over the same trunk with the routine call in progress, we get a message indicating there is not enough bandwidth. We are trying to configure the call manager to kick the routine call off when the flash one is attempted but its not working. I've read up about the Resource Priority Namespace lists and domains and we've configured them on the call managers but to no avail. We are still unable to pre-empt calls on the trunk itself. Can someone point us in the right direction?

the same time it kind of is, but for the most part you don't configure
the softkeys. You enable or disable them via TCL. Here is the long
answer. Be sure to read the whole thing or e...
