Question:

Are they able to transfer internal calls with the same results?

New Member

yes they are making external

yes they are making external calls and registered as a SIP device, no firewall between them , we have upgraded 525 to the latetst firmwre and changed codec to 711 only then its working fine, becuase we are using codec 711 for incoming calls, we are doing same with lets see if its succeful i will let you know

New Member

Ah, yes. That was going to be

Ah, yes. That was going to be my next question!

Let me know how it turns out.

New Member

yes we have changed codec on

yes we have changed codec on SPA to 711u and disabled g722 from spa and from CUCM also we have disabled g722 from enterprise parameters in this way they working now, but Cisco TAC advised us to configure MTP on Gateway.

New Member

Yeah, an MTP will definitely

Yeah, an MTP will definitely resolve this issue, and is the "correct" option.

Please see: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/8_5_1/ccmsys/accm-851-cm/a05mtp.html

This should give you a good starting point in configuring your MTP services in the future.

Also disabling g722 on enterprise parameters is also not a bad idea, especially considering they can cause issues if you have a mixture of wideband phones and non-wideband phones.

Also make sure you have configured your regions between sites to correctly negotiate codecs, please see:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/7_0_1/ccmcfg/701-cmcfg/b02regio.html

This will give you a good start in configuring regions correctly.

yes internal calls are ok but

yes internal calls are ok but when operator transfer to spa 504 and 525 call get disconnected/

Are these registered to the

Are these registered to the same phone system?

Are you able to make external calls to the SPA phones?

Are they registered via SIP or SCCP?

Is there a firewall between the phones and the phone system?
