CALL WAITING/BUSY NOTIFICATION

when some one calls and the called party is on phone it gives the calling party a busy notification but it is not giving any notification to the called aprty that some one called. means what i want is when some one calls and the called party is busy then calling party should get to know that called party is busy which actually is working fine (thanks to tracy) but along with that called party should also get a kind of notification (flash/beep) that some one called, a simple call waiting function.

Hi

It's not possible as standard with CCM - you can either return 'busy' to the caller, and the called person does not know the call occurred...

Or you can enable call waiting - the called person will then see the call, but the caller will just hear ringing.

thanks for the answer ... but there must be some feature or some option or some script/ component required which can be used to

achive this thing... what i am looking for is a simple thing in India Mobile phone, when some one calls if the called party is busy still they will get a notification and calling party also gets a busy tone.. just want to know that feature..

please suggest...

We do not provide natively any feature or function for this. There are many features in many other systems and vendors, however the fact they exist does not mean you will find them in each and every single product.

ie if you have a number in your mobile you'll get caller id using that info, CUCM DOES not provide that

In CUCM we can only provide ringback if the line is still below the busy trigger. If you insist in pursuing, this I'd recommend you to get in touch with the Cisco Developer program to examine whether this is possible or not.
