I can recieve inbound calls from the PSTN and I can make outbound calls to the PSTN however when I call my land line from my mobile I am unable to recieve the caller id and show it on my Cisco 9971 IP Video Phones (SIP).
The error message I get from the debugging is: get_fxo_caller_id:Caller ID receive failed.
I have attached the relevant configuration sections, I believe there is more configuration than I actually need, as I am new to voice but not new to cisco, if there are un-needed configuration lines please let me know so I can remove them, any help would be greatly appreciated:
Thanks in Advance,
Simon Sparks

Have you verified clid working using a BT phone ?

Caller ID works fine on a standard BT Phone with an LCD Display

Try caller-id ring 2 or 3, etc.

Do you mean ?
caller-id alerting ring 2
caller-id alerting ring 3

Does the FXO port need wiring direct to the incoming line or does it need to be pluggedin to a BT Master NTE faceplate ?

Simon,
Your cable is correct
BT-PLG 2 ----- RJ11 -4
BT-PLUG-5 ----RJ11-3
Always use the Master socket faceplate.
