Caller ID support on FXO for MGCP gateways

Hi,

Our CU is having following components in IPT/IPCC setup,

Component Version

CallManager 4.1(3) SR3c

IP Phones Cisco 7940

Voice Gateways Cisco 1760 with FXO

Currently we have added these gateways as H323 gateways in CallManager.To enable call preservation on these gateways,we wish to add these gateways as MGCP.Will caller ID support on MGCP gateways with FXO ports? If ' No' then is there any workaround?

No, caller ID is not supportes on FXO with MGCP.

The workaround will be to configure call preservation on your H.323 GW's

Hi,

Tried to configure "call preserve" in voice class configuration but router not accepting the same.We are having 1760 router with IOS-IP Voice feature set and version-12.4.Kidly help us to trobleshoot further.

You need IOS version 12.4(4)XC or 12.4(9)T or higher. The document above has this in it.

Which version of 12.4 do you have?
