Re: calling issue through sip to any company autoattendant

I know why you are getting that error:

Do the ff:

rtp payload-type cisco-codec-fax-ack 98

then do this again and test

rtp payload-type nte 97

You need to configure dtmf-relay on the CUBE router.

Re: calling issue through sip to any company autoattendant

Start by finding out what sort of DTMF-relay your SIP provider supports

Re: calling issue through sip to any company autoattendant

Hi,

RF2833 is the most common dtmf method on sip trunks..Here is how to configure it

dial-peer voice xxx voip

dtmf-relay rtp-nte

Configure the dtmf on both your outbound dial-peer to your sip provide and also on your inboudn dial-peer to your CUBE and CUCM

Can you send me the full config on your Gateway. Also what do you have set as your "DTMF Signaling Method" field on your sip trunk. You should set it to "No preference".

Can you do a test call and send a

++

debug ccsip messages

debug voip rtp session named-event

Re: calling issue through sip to any company autoattendant

Ok, So your problem is pretty obvious..

You are sending DTMF with PT 97, that is payload type 97. However in your SDP extensions, there are no attribiutes for this Payload type.

Under your m-line, you should have m=audio 0 RTP/AVP 18 0 8 4 2 15 3 97

and

you should atleast have

a=rtpmap:97 telephone-event/8000

a=fmtp:97 0-15

I also observe that your trace is imcomplete. I do not see the start of your trace. I do not see the full call flow in your trace. I need to see what is been offered in the SDP attributes to know if CUCM is sending PT=97

If you want help, then please co-orperate. a full trace of your test call with debug

debug ccsip messages

debug voip rtp session named-event

Hi,

Sorry for the delay, I was busy with some work..

Looking at your traces..

97= dynamic payload used here for Carrying DTMF tones

Now Your CUBE then rejects with

SIP/2.0 488 Not Acceptable Media

Now question is why is CUBE complaining about the media setup/attributes...

From your rtp-named session debug, we see this..

May 14 17:06:25.620:          Pt:101    Evt:9       Pkt:04 01 90  >>

May 14 17:06:25.620:          s=DSP d=VoIP payload 0x65 ssrc 0x57C3DEFB sequence 0x6B54 timestamp 0x9C36DD5D

May 14 17:06:25.620:          Pt:101    Evt:9       Pkt:84 03 20  >>

So you are sending Payload type 101, and the far end has indicated that it can only do 97. So there is a payload type mismatch ...

You cantry the ff: assuming yourprovider is using rtp-nte, but different payload type

configure the payload type for rtp net to use 97 as follows:

rtp payload-type nte 97

Re: calling issue through sip to any company autoattendant

I know why you are getting that error:

Do the ff:

rtp payload-type cisco-codec-fax-ack 98

then do this again and test

rtp payload-type nte 97

calling issue through sip to any company autoattendant

I had seen this already with a SIP provider in that region. Heaven knows why they do that.

+5 to you!

Re: calling issue through sip to any company autoattendant

Paolo,

Thanks for the nice rating. Yes this particular provide Huwaei uses PT=97 for telephone-events/DTMF. Its a bit strange since most people use pt=101.
