Callmanager 5.1.3 MGCP No busy tone Italy

Hi all,

I've got users in Italy complaing that when they ring external numbers and it is busy they get a message the called number does not exist or something along those lines. Has anyone had the same issue ? One document mentions changing a service parameter, but i don't know what affect this would have on the rest of the cluster. The gateway config is using overlap receiving.

Cheers

Dave

Hi Dave,

In this case it's interesting to see the topology and the call flow.

Please include this.

Thanks,

I checked the config.

Can you elaborate a bit more on how the users are supposed to dial out?

Do they dial out through a Nortel PBX?

Again ... What is the exact call flow?

Re: Callmanager 5.1.3 MGCP No busy tone Italy

This is an mgcp gateway and the end users dial 0 to match the outbound dial-peer which connects to the local telco. The other circuit is  qsig to a Meridian this has nothing to do with the problem.

Re: Callmanager 5.1.3 MGCP No busy tone Italy

Dave,

Looks like the calls are using MGCP controlled ISDN E1s. If so, we'll need to determine if the telco/pbx is sending a PI to provide ringback inband.

Please collect the following debugs for a failed call.

debug mgcp packet

debug isdn q931

Note the calling and called party numbers.

I think your right Felipe it's jst knowing which PI is missing. I will try and test with the customer to gather some debug.

Cheers

Dave
