Hello,

I have a callmanager 6.1.1b running on a customer, i have tried to add a mgcp gateway (2801), when i try to add a vic2-2bri to the gateway and configured the port i'm not able to select the isdn bri protocol, the only option available is not selected, for this reason i can't configure any BRI interface, i have change the slot on the gateway but with no success. Does any one have the same problem ?

thanks

you're right =) when i went that far cannot select it, it's a bug:

CSCsq38457

Unable to select the BRI protocol for the BRI interface in CUCM

Symptom:

Unable to select the BRI protocol for the BRI interface in CUCM

Conditions:

Issue is observed for c2801 configured for MGCP control.

There is no option to add the BRI protocol for the BRI interface in CUCM.

This is observed for CCM 6.1.1 and 6.1.2. Issue was not observed for CCM version 4.2 and 5.1.3

Workaround:

None

Fixed-In

6.1(2.9901.59)

7.0(0.39700.127)

Not sure what you're doing, just tried it at my lab

Device -> GW -> Add New -> 2801 -> MGCP -> javalenc.cisco.com ->

Module in Slot 0 = NM-4VWIC-MBRD and then i can add the vic2-2bri into any subunit

Hi,

Do you configure the bri interface ?

If you try to config the sub unit in the bri protocol type the only option that apper is "not selected" is is suposed to apper "BRINET3".

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for that, do i have to open a case to get the patch for 6.1(2.9901.59) ?

unfortunately it seems that the fix will be until the next CUCM release (6.1(3)) by the .9901 on the patch. but i just checked and there is another workaround for this but you will need TAC to do it since it requires root access to the server. just open the TAC case and let them know you're hitting that bug, they'll know what to do =)
