I am setting up some IP Phones with the intercom feature now in Callmanager 6.1 which is working great. My only question is can this be used to page multiple phones at a time, perhaps by simply setting up a hunt group for multiple intercom lines? Is this now possible or is it only available with a third party application?
Can the intercom Line be placed in the Attendant's phone? The reason why I'm asking is because the doc is telling me is not supported in combination with the Attendant Console GUI. Every time, I put an intercom line on the attendants physical phone, the Intercom number overwrites the Main line appearance and she can't not see it no more. As describe below, but maybe you know a way around that. just wanted to get your take.
Attendant Console Phones Do Not Support the Intercom Feature
The Cisco Unified Communications Manager Attendant Console does not support the intercom feature. The attendant console GUI shows intercom and other lines but does not display the hunt group member line when the intercom feature is configured on a phone that is a member of a hunt group.
