i can ping using ip or hostname

i can ssh using ip or hostname

thanks

i get this error from internet browser sometime when i try via IP

Network Error (tcp_error)

A communication error occurred: "Operation timed out"
The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again at a later time.

For assistance, contact your network support team.

I doubt if that IP is for CUCM because that error doesnt seem to be coming from cucm. You can try and restart the cisco Tomcat service and see if it helps

Hi Louis.
Are you able to ssh into cucm?
If you can't login into cucm through console session and execute the following commands

show network eth0 detail
utils service list

This allows you to verify the correct ip address of cucm and the service status.

not yet. i cant do this during the office hours

it s working fine bypassing the proxy so very likely the issue is on the proxy....

ok. i ve contacted the proxy team bluecoat. they cant see why it's not working...

here is their update

Thanks for your time this morning, i have not been able to resolve the issue of browsing to the IP addresses of the CallMgrs, but am curious if over the past year anything has been upgraded on these systems that may have caused this to stop, there is nothing we have amended on QBE-CW-SG01/02 that looks to have affected this.

The pcaps (attached to SecureData Portal for this call), show the packets from src ip 10.15.66.90 to the Proxy server, and then the proxy server forwarding them onto the CallMgr 192.168.60.4 - but we dont get a full TCP conversation i.e no SYN-ACK back to the Proxy from the CallMgr when https://192.168.60.4 is initiated in the browser.

The behaviour is different when https://UKCMUXPS72 is issued (see in URL-test-to-Callmgr.cap).

We know without the proxy https://192.168.60.4 works when tested from another server in the 10.4.x.x range.

The only differences i see with the proxied hostname connection which is successful is to do with SSL communication/exchanges, so there maybe a configuration setting in the CallMgr that is linked.

Hi Louis,

Any recent modification (IP Address / hostname) or upgrades are done from your end in CUCM?
