CUCM itself is a redundant solution considering it's clustering architecture. May be you can elaborate what exactly you meant by saying CME as redundant solution to CUCM ? If you want to deploy CME at remote site while keeping the CUCM cluster at central site, yes such deployment is very documented in the SRND guide as one of the standard deployment type.
