Can you do MOH off the flash across layer3?

Hi all,

I have two questions

1) I have experienced configuring MOH off the flash by doing intervlan routing on the router however, I have never tried to do it with the switch doing layer 3.

router(moh)--layer 3 ----Switch -- Phone

has anyone tried this out there yet ?

if it has please elaborate what you did

Thanks,

If you are refering to streaming MoH using multicast from a router with an SRST license then yes there is no problem doing this as long as your layer 3 switch can do multicast routing.

Just enable multicast routing in global config and then enable PIM on the interfaces where your IPT endpoints are located.

If you have 3560/3750 layer 3 switches then be aware that the Base images do not support multicast routing so you would need to upgrade to an image that does this.
