We are continually fighting the backup from looping, clearing the backup schedule and rebooting the PUB fixes the loop. But then about a week or so later it starts to loop. Once it finishes it starts again and again, until we clear the schedule and reboot.
We are running Call Manager version 18.104.22.1680-2 on a 7825H3 We are using OpenSSH and have used freeFTP, with same results
OpenSSH is running on the Unity server and backing up to that
According to TAC the time is drifting on the PUB which they said was causing the loop, and once the loop starts the DRF schedule files are corrupted.
We were told the time drift is caused by the internal clock on the mother board. We replaced it re-hosted licneses and a few days later started to loop again.
NTP was set to an internal server on the PUB and the subscribers 3 of them, 1 onsite with the PUB, 2 offsite were set to the PUB for NTP. We removed the NTP in the PUB between loops and still were able to loops the backup. We now have NTP pointing to an external server.
I had one other client who had the same issue but clearing the schedule and rebooting the PUB fixed it and has never happended again.
