hello Guyz,
i have an issue with call transfer on the second line of some phones 7942.
when a call transfer is made from a call on the second line button, it does not succeed.i have a right soft key template on all phones.
the user simply hears as though the call is gone through but nothing happens.
i am running CUCM 6.1.
any ideas on how to solve this?

Hi,
Have a look at the 2nd line --> line settings on CUCM admin.
Look at the field MAX NUMBER OF CALLS - What is this set to.
It need s to be more than "1" to allow transfers

i left this to the default of 4. so this should not be the issue.

Hi,
Just trying to gather more information
1) So a call is on the 2nd line.
The user presses transfer --. Does the user hear dial tone ?
Does the callee hear the MOH on hold tones ?
2) The user dial the new number --- Does the new number ring ?
Can user can speak to the new number ?
3) The user presses transfer
What happens ?

but when the user presses transfer nothing happens. key seems not active. it is not deemed but just does not work.
