Cant Delete a Phone

Im going to pull my hair out soon. I have a 7940 that says logged out from hunt group. I just want to remove an extension but it goes in the following loop

Try to delete dn (cant because user is in Hunt group)

Try to delete hunt group/List (Cant delete logged out agent)

Try to add the extention to a phone so the user is logged it (Hunt Group Logout: dn 2 cannot be shared with phone 2)

and round and round

Yes CME can be a pain in the neck with these things at times (poor testing in many areas).

Take the following resolutive action:

1. save config to text file

2. edit as needed

3. copy tftp://..../textfile startup-config

4. reload
