Cat6 QoS

I need some advice on Cat6 QoS. If I am not mistaken different line card has different number of hardware queues( tx and rx). Then if the Cat6 consist different cards how do we configure each card seperatly ? What i mean is when we map the cos or dscp value on globally to queue how does it differentiate between these line card queues ?

You need to use the show port capabilities to check QoS scheduling for each card you have.

Depending what you have, you can use

set qos map command to map Cos traffic for each Q.

CAT6500> (enable) set qos map ?

1q2t Port type 1q2t

1p1q4t Port type 1p1q4t

1p2q2t Port type 1p2q2t

2q2t Port type 2q2t

1p3q1t Port type 1p3q1t

1p1q0t Port type 1p1q0t

1p2q1t Port type 1p2q1t

1p1q8t Port type 1p1q8t

For example:

CAT6500> (enable) set qos map 2q2t tx 2 1 cos 3

If you have a different card, you would replcae 2q2t for the port type you have.
