CCM 4.1.3 integration with Nortel CS 1000M over SIP

Hi All

Hope everyone is enjoying holidays season. I need your help. We are trying to Integrate Cisco CallMAnager 4.1(3) with Nortel CS1000M (4.0.5)over SIP trunk.

We have H.323 Trunk Between Nortel and Cisco CallManager on IP which is up and running from last few months. Now we are trying to setup this trunk as SIP trunk between the two endpoints. We followed the Document provided by Cisco CM integration Doc with Nortel CS 1000M, however we have issues in establising the same.

Topology is something like this

Cisco IpPhone--CallMAnager-----SIP Trunk over VPN----Nortel Signalling Server(Madras)---Nortel IP Phone

No ports are blocked, no ACL, no firewall

Followed this document.

We tried to telnet both ends using the port which SIP use(5060/5061) but we cant able to open the connection.

I am pasting a part of Trace collected from call manager

CM IP is 20.x.x.55

Nortel Node IP 20.x.x.20

Nortel Extension 1421, Cisco Ext 4802,

From Nortel to Cisco Access is 93 - 4802

Cisco to Nortel Access code is 044 - 4801

U can view the call with time "12/28/2006 18:42:21.222"

I am attaching EtherReal of the failed calls from both ends.

Please help.

Re: CCM 4.1.3 integration with Nortel CS 1000M over SIP

Hi Daljeet,

I checked CCM28dec check packet 23 and 25 this is the INVITE coming from Nortel to CCM

as you stated we are getting ICMP dest unreachable.

Can you confirm we have the following in SIP trunk?

Incoming Port 5061

Outgoing Transport Type UDP

If not change it back and test calls from Nortel to CCM.

Let us know

Happy New Year and Thanks for the reply!!

Yes the incoming port on Nortel Server is 5061

and outgoing Transport protocol is UDP.

These were the setting which are there from the start.

Any clues what we should do to see why this is happening.?
