CCM 4.x and shared lines and hunt list

i have a main # for one site that rings into a hunt list with 6 extensions in it that all ring at same time when outside caller calls in. i then have a 7960 whose ext is not in the hunt list however has shared lines of a few ext in the hunt list. 2 things: the ext of a shared line shows as busy when in fact they are not. 2. when that person transfers a call it will show up as the name of the first person in hunt list. when they transfer a call that was initiated internally the correct name appears. any idea?

Hi Sonal,

It is not recommended to have any Shared Lines configured with this type of Hunt List :( If you remove the Shared Lines of the 7960 you should be good to go!

Note Do not put DNs that are shared lines in a line group that uses the Broadcast distribution algorithm. Cisco CallManager cannot display all DNs that are shared lines on devices where the DNs are configured as shared lines if the DNs are members of a line group that uses the Broadcast distribution algorithm.
