ccm 4.x extract data

wondering if anyone has extracted phone/user data for purposes of migrating to higher version instead of the upgrade path.

have 2 clusters in operation one which is very old and new 7.x. would like to extract data in such a way that i can import into new ccm but BAT just does not handle phones with multiple lines at all and looking for suggestions besides upgrading...
