CCM 6.x Operating System

Hello all,

I understand that CCM 5.x and 6.x are running on Linux but does anyone know what flavor of Linux it's running on ?

Thanks in advance !!!

Re: CCM 6.x Operating System

Hi Danny,

I understand that it's a "locked down" version of Red Hat Linux.

Hope this helps!

Re: CCM 6.x Operating System

just as a side note to the info Rob already provided it's a flavor of Linux Red Hat Enterprise Edition and the user interface is locked down to only some basic functions for security reasons. That's why you ssh into it.

if you get your hands on the root pwd you will get the real linux interface with no limitations, but since not many users are familiar with linux they can break the system if they change things in there. that is why it's locked down on the user interace

Re: CCM 6.x Operating System

Thank you sir !!! I appreciate the inputs. I am currently running CCM 4.1.3 sr6a and I know eventually will have to upgrade to a Linux based CallManager and I have no experience with Linux. Looked like I am gonna have to start learning Linux soon.

Thanks again !!!

Danny
