CCM changing Service Parameter> Maximum Ad Hoc Conference

CallManager 4.1(3)SR4d

I keep changing the Service Parameters > CallManager (X.X.X.X) > Clusterwide Parameters (Service) > Maximum Ad Hoc Conference > 8 (suggested value 4)

From a 7900 IP Phone I conference in the 5th person and get "Exceeded Maximum Parties". I can telnet to ACT and issue a show dspfarm profile and view the 4 people in the ACT doing conferencing.

However after a while I go back into CCMAdmin and find the value reset to 4 (default). We have a CMM module with ACT configured in a MRG/MRGL and the customer wants 8 parties in Ad Hoc.

Jason,

What is the max sessions set to in the CMM configuration ?

i just tested this with software only conferencing and set the value to 6, and am able to accomodate 6 people in a conference. Remember the limit of 6 or 8 in your case also is limited by the capability of the conf bridge in question. So check your dspfarm profile to see if the sessions are set to accomodate that many sessions.

You have to press Update twice in CCMAdmin>Service Parameters for change to take effect.

The ACT supports up to 10 users per conference.
