Hi all, do somebody know, how many conference connections can be used on 7835 MCS server with CCM 4.2? I dont have transcoder, but I think that server alone can mix some conferences. If you know link it would be nice. Cannot find on cisco.com even if I tried. THX

Hi Thomas,

These number are for the Software Conference Bridge available on CCM :)

Cisco Conference Bridge Software

Software conference devices support G.711 codecs by default.

The maximum number of audio streams for this type equals 128. With 128 streams, a software conference media resource can handle 128 users in a single conference, or the software conference media resource can handle up to 42 conferencing resources with three users per conference.

From this good doc;

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/4_1_3/ccmsys/a05confb.html#wp1035397

The default number of Maximum MeetMe Participants (per Conference) is set at 4.

To increase the Maximum number of MeetMe participants (we have ours at 16);

Go to:

Service Parameters Configuration >Clusterwide Parameters (Service)>Maximum MeetMe Conference

Here is some additional info;

Conference Bridge Configuration

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_administration_guide_chapter09186a00801ecf8a.html

With the Software Conference Bridge;

128 Streams

128 with 48 Users in each = 3

128 with 24 Users in each = 6

128 with 16 Users in each = 8

128 with 8 Users in each = 16

128 with 4 Users in each = 32

Hope this helps!

What dictates the number of users you can have in each conference? Are those numbers you posted for configured MeetMe patterns or are they for live conferences?

I just had an issue where I had 1 live conference and couldn't get more than people including the conference controller on the conference. When I tried to join the conference while doing a reactive debug with my IPCC MeetMe script it just kept me on hold and wouldn't allow me to join the conference.

I just tested it again on the side and I would get a fast busy with the 7th join attempt.

Hi Brian,

Both Ad Hoc and MeetMe conferences have a configurable setting that limits the number of participants;

Clusterwide Parameters (Service)

Maximum Ad Hoc Conference = 4

Maximum MeetMe Conference Unicast = 16

Hope this helps!

Rob

I did find this in another post of yours and just got it updated. Thanks for the quick reply though.

Thanks

Brian

I updated that entry from 6 to 16 and now the most I can get on a single MeetMe conference is 8 including the conference controller. Any ideas?

Thanks

Brian

So I have ccm 4.1.3

I can make a cc to local internal and external numbers, but I cannot make a cc to internal numbers at a branch office

Any help would be appreciated.

Randall
