I have a number of mgcp controlled gateways. Some of them have the endpoint as the local ethernet address, and some have the endpoint as the WAN address. How is this determined, and is this configurable? thanks
Binding MGCP to an interface is indeed possible using the "mgcp bind" command. You want to bind both the media and signalling to the same port. Binding them to the loopback interface would probably be a good idea.
