I would like to know what the pros and cons are having MeetMe services on Call Manager (v6.1.3) versus the function on a Cisco 3800 router. (I know the 3800 has a limitation of 100 concurrent users, but thats about it!)
***
CCM
Maximum MeetMe Conference Unicast 20
Maximum Ad Hoc Conference 6
**********
Cisco 3800
sh run...
max-conferences 6 gain -6
We have 2 64 channel PVDM2's in the 3800
Thanks for any pointers

Software conference bridge accept only g711 codec, where hardware conference can accept different and/or do transcoding.
Check this link for more information: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/srnd/6x/media.html#wp1046168

OK thanks for that, so from our configuration, we are using a mix of both?
CCM handles all g.711 traffic and when another codec is presented say g.729 the 3800 takes over doing the transcoding?
Thanks again, most appreciated!

Yes, you can setup x-coder on 3800 (remember of MRGL and MRG configuration as well) or use hardware conference bridge then no need of transcoding.
