CCME - FXO - Cannot Dial Out

On a CCME router - my first to configure, when I try to dial out, I get a message from the telco that I "must first dial a 1 or 0 before calling this number" - this happens on local calls and long distance calls, even if I dial 9xxx-xxxx or 91(xxx)xxx-xxxx. which makes it seem like the 9 is being sent out possibly. I can't figure it out...

Router is 2811, VIC2-4FXO

Re: CCME - FXO - Cannot Dial Out

Hi,

rule 1 does nothing.

rule 2 strips 9 if first digit and can be rewritten more concisely as: /^9/ //

where do you have that and why ?

Rather check out that you have "forward-digits all" under DP 4 and I think you should not.

Re: CCME - FXO - Cannot Dial Out

hello,

keep in mind that what is digits matched by destination-pattern are not set out, so for example when your DP 4 matches (you can see that with "term mon" and "debug voip dialpeer"), then telco complains because of the missing 1, so either you add it back with "prefix", or do "no digit-strip" and then a translation-rule... It may become complicated also considering that you are trying to do COR at the same.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

having the same issue with local calls as well, so I'm not sure that is the problem. how can I see what digits are being outpulsed?

"term mon" and "debug vpm signal".

Re: CCME - FXO - Cannot Dial Out

could this be causing a problem?

voice translation-rule 9

rule 1 /^911$/ /911/

rule 2 /^9\(.*\)/ /\1/
