CDR best practice

Hello!

Is there a good document how to handle CDR-a on call manager. It seems they might be getting my disk overloaded so I was wondering what is the best practice to frequently send them to SFTP server, remove them from CCM and be able to pull them from server in order to generate PDF, when needed.
