cdr information can include call cost given from telco provider??

Hi to everyone!

I was told that some telco providers can provide call cost at the end of the call. Is that information included in cdr or cmr files created by CUCM??

I made a search on the cdr fields but didn't see anything obvious..

I use CUCM 8.5

Thanks in advance for any help provided.

CUCM Does not provide any call cost information in it's CDR or CMRs. It just provides (Amongst other things) caller, dialed number, trunk/route, start & duration.

To turn these into a cost for a call, you need a third party application called a call logger to do this.

thanks for your reply Gordon!

We have a client that had Avaya before migrating to CUCM and said that Avaya had that capability (reading the cost of call given from the provider at the end of the call). So, it is suprising that CUCM don't have this ability eventhough an older, technologically, PBX supports it.

If memory serves, on some carrier's trunks, they would supply back the call cost. I don't think it's a widely done system though. I don't think it's been available in the UK, for example, for many years.
