Does anyone know approximately how many CDRs are kept per Mb of storage in CUCM 8.5?

Wendy, the maximum size of the CDR DB is 3 GB and contains a maximum of 2 Million records. According to BU calculation 2 Million rows on the DB should relate closely to 3GB. Regarding the flat files there are no calculations since they will be flushed out of the system after they have been parsed into the DB. Most files are are just 2 line files about 1 KB or less.

Do you mean the flat files or the DB??
If the first, I don't know, but shouldn't be too hard to find out. Configure a CDR repository and you'll get an idea of how many files consume one MB just by selecting the files and looking at how many are selected.
On the DB I don't think there's any data on how many entries consume a MB
Either way, the size of the DB is fixed and the amount of entries it can hold is also limited by the watermarks, if you're worried about using too much space it won't happen.
