Our Concord office recently moved and we had to get all new phone numbers. We had the old number forwarded to the new. However, when they dial out, the old number still displays on the recipients caller ID. I read through the forums, and it seems the consensus is that we need to update the Outbound Caller ID Mask on that offices gateway. Does anyone have any quick and dirty instructions on how to do that? Is it done in Call Manager, or in that particular routers config?
I dont know what any of those things are, as Im just a CCENT. I have very little voip experience. However I did in fact solve it.
I did a show run on the router at that location. Of course it spewed out tons of stuff. I read it line for line and saw the following stuff. I asked our router consultant to look at it, and he confirmed the "clid network-number" lines needed updating.
