CIPC Bluetooth Headset

Hi,

Has any had any experiences using bluetooth headsets with CIPC?

I have a BT Headset partnered with my laptop, and CIPC recognises it in the audio tuning wizard and I am able to hear the music playing through the headset.

I am able to hear ringing tone when calls are recieved, and hear dial-tone/dtmf when dialing calls however I am not able to hear any conversation.

When doing the wizard it appears that no audio is being recorded during the test. I can confirm that the device does record using other software.

I have selected the BT headset device under the 'Headset' option in the wizard, and on the GUI I have the headset button highlighted.

Can someone help?

Thanks,

Peter

I have the same problem.

IP Communicator version 2.1.3

Dell Latitude ATG 620 Win XP Pro SP2

Toshiba Buletooth stack v4.0

Tuning wizard recognizes and responds to the headset. When placing a call I hear dial tone and ringing and when the call connects, NOTHING. Either direction.

If I connect up by USB Headset then IP Communicatior works properly. (I know, use the USB headset then. I'd rather work cordless)

If I fire up windows media player, I hear the audio in the headset.

Another user is having the same issue with a Latitude D630.

Thoughts?

This sounds like a routing problem to me. It appears that you have proved that your headset is working properly. Everything you hear is coming from the CUCM. Once the call is established the CUCM is no longer in the picture. Your IP Communicator is communicating directly with the phone or gateway with which CUCM established the connection.

Make sure you can ping the device you are trying to call. If you cannot, resolve this issue then try your call again.

I have been able to get my Jabra headset to work with CIPC. A "bigger" issue is trying to make it work with Checkpoint's VPN Secure Remote. The latest version doesn't work with any version of CIPC newer than 2.01. Version 2.01 works, but any newer there isn't any audio at all. Double clicking on the ? key on the phone shows no TX or RX packets. Therefore Cisco did something which prevents the VPN from working.
